June 2003
Here are the minutes from our 6/24 Hospizarbeit und Bioethik Coalition meeting: --
We will apply for 501(c)3 (not-for-profit) status.
*Carla will begin a draft of bylaws for submission with our application for incorporation
*We will solicit donations (which will be taxable) for our incorporation fee (approx. $140) and do some sort of fundraiser for our 501(c)3 application fee (approx $500). --
Our Rallying Points application has been submitted and accepted.æ We are now an official Rallying Points coalition and can apply for our first certificate.æ This means that Rallying Points will pay the consultant or consulting group of our choice to come and work with us.æ We need to begin to think about who we want to bring.æ
In our June 7 meeting, we tentatively decided that we would like our certificate to focus on caregivers.æ If you want to have input in the final decision, please review the available programs online.æ We will discuss this issue at our next meeting.
To view the list of Rallying Point approved consultants, go to the Rallying Points home page, www.rallyingpoints.orgææ
In the right column, click on Certificate Program Page.æ
On the certificate programs page, under Search Programs, you can either download a PDF file of consultants and programs http://www.rallyingpoints.org/info/certificate/consultantlist.pdf or you can search by category:æ http://www.rallyingpoints.org/info/certificate/adsearch.asp?opt=coalition
Searching by category will give you a detailed description of the program, as well as its cost, whereas the PDF file only lists the programs, presenters, and number of days the program runs. --
There was a request from the majority of the people present in the 6/24 meeting for us to establish regular, consistent meeting dates so that people can arrange their schedules more effectively.æ
We tentatively plan to continue our alternation between weeknights and weekends.
